Meetup Description: Norman McLaren Retrospective

Norman McLaren is a master of Animation from Canada. He is not necessary one of the most famous animators, but he is definitely one of the most respected one. I am not that knowledgeable towards his career, but have seen a decent amount of his works through DVD. I have to admit that some of his works may appear primitive since they were made about a half century ago, but they are still intriging to watch. His works have influences generations of artists/movie makers. I indeed got to know him after seeing a music video of Kylie Minogue created by Michel Gondry using a visual technique adapted from McLaren's work. I believe we are fortunate to have opportunity to see his works projected on screen, and would like to check this retrospective of his with some of you.

Admission Fee: ?1,500

Let's check his works, and have a drink or two after the screening.
