Tamara de Lempicka Seduction of Elegance

Tamara de Lempicka created sensuous and seductive paintings. When I was studying art history in college, her name was never mentioned in classes, but I was captivated by her works when I first learned about them through postcards. For a long while, I thought she was a Cubist because of the way she renders her figures, but I learned that she is classified as an Art Deco painter. Unfortunately, we don't have much opportunity to see her works in museums, so I am totally thrilled to learn that Bunkamura is organizing an exhibition of hers. Many of you may not have heard of her, but it will be worthwhile for you to check out the exhibition if you like beautiful and elegant paintings. Her artistic style is very distinctive and more people should be enchanted by her works. Hope some of you are interested in seeing the exhibition with me.
