I''m from the midwest, USA, and have been living in London for three years now. My husband retired early and I became legal to work in the UK at the time of the credit crunch, so I am also basically retired at 55 years!
Will give it some thought.

where we discuss some of the major issues confronting us in thew 21st century. We would welcome progressive Americans joining us and helping with the debate.
GlobalNet21 was set up to discuss some of these great issues of our millennium and bring back the hope that we can do something about it. We discuss many issues, network people to take action and link people with organisations that make a difference.
Hi, Jane, Message #2. I didn't see your first message before responding to your second. I'm 60, will be in London 28 August-12 September, have not attending a Meet Up meeting, but will if there is something during that time, preferably not centered around drinking! Best, Susan
Hi, Jane, Thanks for responding to my question. I'd love to hear from you, am seriously trying to live in the UK for a couple of years, starting next year. So any thoughts would be welcome. Great wisdom not required! Susan Brooks, North Carolina, USA
Hi there. I'm married to a Brit as well! We just moved to the UK after living in the States and Australia for a bit. I love the UK and have visited many times before but it is an adjustment for sure. We are trying to find jobs in London at the moment. Hope to attend a meet up soon!
