Hi Marie, thanks for the message. I'll be there around 8pm so will hopefully meet you all in there :)
Hi Marie, Would have loved to have come but sadly have a broken wrist at present & am taking things easy
yes you are right! i dont know where i got that idea from? but from now on i will check out theories before believing in them!
hi marie, i just had a look on amazon.co.uk, its off his album rashida. but theres also a 3albums on 1 cd- i am now/ minds eye/ rashida which is better value. also its available on download. +i just listened to esperanza again to remind myself +its still great, slow +beautiful
(i think esperanza spauldings dad was james spaulding who was a famous in the 70s sax+ flute player, so he must have known jL, i was wondering if e.s. was named after this tune)
hi marie. this is a random fact but as you are a fan of esperanza spaulding it might be interesting! did you know jon lucien did a song called esperanza? i remember its good, i think its 1of those wordless scat brazilian kind of songs he speialised in. definitely worth hearing (ifyou didnt already)

mick,
Hi Marie. Thanks for a great evening. Remember when I mentioned that thing about instrumental Jazz pieces being reminiscent of thier titles? Have a listen/watch of this track 'Circle C' by Steve Coleman.
