Having a good reputation with tour directors has served us well.  Jan, formerly with the Ordway is now with the New Century Theater in downtown Minneapolis. Linda received an email inviting our group to see  the parody "The Doyle and Debbie Show" for the cost of $16.00, with no additional fees.  Each person is responsible for purchasing their own ticket at the website below, using the promo code provided Your promo code is DDMEET for $16 ( includes fees)..  Tickets for the same cost may be purchased the day of the show at the the theater.  Be sure to mention you are with our group when ordering as well as when you arrive.

The show has gotten good reviews and is very funny.  Although the play is a parody of country western duo's, it appeals to a wide audience.  The theatre is located in the City Center on the main level.  Follow the signage. There is a parking ramp right there. Let's plan to be at the theater no later then 7:15.

The Doyle & Debbie Show is the spot-on, critically acclaimed country music parody that simultaneously lampoons and pays homage to the genre's tradition of iconic duos. Created by veteran Country Music Television writer Bruce Arntson, The Doyle & Debbie Show is a clever tribute inspired by the stories, banter and music of famous pairs like Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn, Johnny Cash and June Carter, and Porter Wagoner and Dolly Parton.

"Brilliant. The last time I laughed anywhere close to this hard was at The Book of Mormon. Hilarious. Drop-dead funny."  -Chris Jones of the Chicago Tribune

The question is always asked, are we going to meet for dinner. So, yes we will, there are a ton of restaurants. For those interested let's plan to meet at 6:00, we will find a place that can take a group, possibly the Fire Lake Grill or Heartland.  I WILL NEED TO MAKE A RESERVATION.  We will post where  shortly. PLEASE INDICATE IF YOU WILL BE JOINING US FOR DINNER WITH YOUR RSVP.

I was very funny and I think everyone could relate to the humor. Smiled, whooped and laughed the whole show :)

Not being a fan of country music, I wasn't sure if I would like the show, but I was pleasantly surprised. The sow was hilarious. I never stopped laughing. It was very well done.

Sorry I can not attend. I have a dental appointment on Thursday night at 700 pm. I hope you all have a fun time as I will at the dentist.

I discovered a place in City Center called the Greek Grill and Cafe. The menu looks good and the prices are reasonable. It looks like they have the same setup as the Holy Land Deli. The reviews are mostly positive. Some people said they were a little slow, so I think we should meet between 5:30 and 6:00. Check out the website. It would probably be OK to come later if you want something simple.

Plan to come. Went on the link, but didn't see where to put in the promo code and looks like I need to pick out the seat. Do you have an area we should book tickets?

    • Linda B.

When you pick your seat a box to enter the code will pop up. There won't be a section for our group, it is a small theater.

Will do! I have been to the theater many times, but usually buy the tickets at the box office.
