Music Tech Meetup: Autumn Speaker Series

This month we return from a short break to kick off our winter speaker series and what better way to do it than with lightning talks!

What is a lightning talk?

A lightning talk is short presentation lasting around 5 minutes.

Can I do one?

Yes, we are inviting all attendees to sign up on the night to share your music/tech musings and wisdom with all or if you are super keen email [masked] with your name and topic.

What can I talk about?

Have you built something amazing? Are you using new technologies that we should know about? Do you have some thoughts on the future of music/tech? Anything goes as long as you follow the following guidelines:

1) Music Tech focussed (this is the MTM meetup after all.)

2) No more than 5 minutes

2) No pitching

3) No bitching

4) No recruitment

There will be a projector available if you wish to demo.

Best lightning talk (as voted by you) will win a wee prize from our pals at DeskBeers.

We look forward to seeing you all on Thursday!

Two trains cancelled and long delays as I was trying to make my way to the event so I couldn't make it in the end. Frustrating as this looked good! :(

Good, met nice people, I had the chance to let some of the attendees have a sneak preview of our soon-to-be-released interactive Apps for The Dream Theater and Steve Vai. Looking forward to the next meetup in January.

    Hello everyone,

I'm searching for people to build a series of midi controllers.

Separately I'm also interested in meeting VST & HTML 5 developers.

Feel free to contact me via the Meetup.com email system if you are not attending this event.

Thanks and I hope to speak with you soon!

Due to my recent success & the innovative marketing strategy of my music company leading me to notable mentors in the global music industry such as Scott Cohen, Scooter Braun, Mike McCready, Alex White, Tahir Basheer & many more, I was a A&R panelist with some of the world's top music executives at the Future Music Forum 2013 in Barcelona speaking about the future of 21st Century A&R using the new technology methods of scouting talent & being innovative about artist development in the field of using social media into breaking an artist into the market. I would like to speak at the next event if possible.

I'd potentially be interested in this, but it's the same night as Music Week's Radar showcase (and I think Ja Ja Ja as well), so it's a bit difficult to make. Please let me know if there's another, though.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
