It's NOT for the overly judgmental. (We are encouraging and supportive!)
It's NOT for people unwilling to share their talents and knowledge.
It's NOT a dating pool. (If people hit it off naturally, that's cool, but let's keep it civil people.)
It's NOT for NO-SHOWS (see policy below).
NO SHOW POLICY: The Musicians Workshop is open to everyone, but please note that there is ONLY one type of person who is NOT welcome and may be removed: the person who repeatedly signs up for events but fails to show up. Please do not RSVP for an event unless you are committed to attending and participating, and please give prior notice the moment your plans change. It's common sense and common courtesy. On behalf of the entire group, thank you.
Photos and/or video may be taken during the event and used for promotional purposes.
DESCRIPTION: Since 2011, The Musicians Workshop is where people of all ages and skill levels can assemble to "Practice the Art of Performing"™ in front of an audience. It now features new smaller groups with renewed focus on performance, feedback, and discussion with your peers and the featured guest artist!
FEE: We are confident that moving to a fee-based structure will allow us to better serve the members who are committed to the pursuit of becoming better performers and songwriters. It also supports the venues that host us and compensates the featured artists for their time and talents. Hopefully, we will also be able to schedule events more frequently and even offer Virginia, DC, and Maryland locations!
The Musicians Workshop is NOT a jam or a song circle and there is a strict No Show Policy in place. Refund Policy may vary slightly depending on location. Photos and/or video may be taken during the event and used for promotional purposes.
