    Cincinnati IS a strain . . . in so many ways . . .
beginning with the Keatings, the Koch Brothers of
Ohio... spreading their money and manure in
the name of prohibition, voter suppression,
    sexual inhibition, intellectual oppression and
economic depression of the political center and
    the middle class.

Yes, Cincinnati IS a strain thanks to them...
such a pity for such a historic city, indeed.

Still, like the city of seven hills before it,
I believe Cincy is a cinchy bet to rise again
much as Rome after its fall as long as there
are good folks like y'all, working to make
    a difference.

PS... folks who name "bud" missed their calling:
writing album covers, CD liner notes and
    wine reviews!

Article will appear this ween in Dayton Daily News. We did not represent NORML, but gave readers a glimpse at the profile of many legalization advocates... people who've had successful careers, have medical interests in pot, but who also believe part of marijuana's gift IS the relaxation and socializing that occurs around it. Not everyone is a non-productive 24/7 stoner. We also dealt with issues such as how parents need to enforce values and teach judgment skills as the first line of defense against greater penetration of pot use among those who haven't finished high school and are of an age mature enough to make informed decisions. Kathy and April were fabulous. I just filled in some blanks.

My eye surgery was not as successful as I'd hoped, but my vision is so much better now. You will receive your draft letters to the editor this week.

Our attendance is growing !! I always meet someone new at every meeting. If you feel that the drug war has failed then come to our meetings. It's time to reform our failed drug laws.

I enjoyed meeting all of you. For those who requested topical Letters to the Editor, I will do them tomorrow and send them to each of you. Revise the wording for your "voice" if you wish or to ask questions of me when you get them. All you will need to do is send them to the Enquirer, your legislators... I'm just here to help you get the notion into motion.

by the way, after the meeting, Rob came up with a great twist of a campaign theme:

    "Just Say KNOW!"

A great theme for our public education initiatives to get the facts out
about synthetic marijuana or any of our other topics of interest, for that matter... I've gotten used to Rob saying "NO" to me, just didn't realize he was saying, "KNOW" and casting a different "spell" on me.

Peace, life, love and happiness to all,
    Dennis Geehan ([masked])
Home Phone (937)[masked] (okay to leave voicemail if my cat Bacon doesn't pick up... he screens calls when I'm out).

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
