Renaissance fairs are a great attraction for all sorts of costumed participants, making it a treasure trove for the street photographer. This fair is produced annually by friends of mine and they have been trying to get me to come for years. This year I plan on being there so I figured we'd make it into a meet up.
PRICE: General One-Day Admissions
- Adult (Ages 15+) – $15.00
- Child (Ages 10 – 14) – $10.00
- Young Child (Ages 5 – 9) – $5.00
- Admission is free for children under 5 years old
DESCRIPTION: Aside from the costumed characters there are all sorts of entertainment going on throughout the day. Everything from live combat to magicians, face painting to musicians, belly dancing, artisans, demonstrators and more.
WHAT TO BRING: As with any type of street photography, traveling light is a must. Wear comfortable shoe and (if you are inclined) ren fair costuming to fit in. Don't forget extra batteries and media cards. There are plenty of food and beverage vendors so a little spending cash is good to have.
