"Going to St. Ives": Two Powerful Women Face Off in Psychological Drama

Pulitzer Prize-nominee Lee Blessing (A Walk in the Woods) wrote this compelling two-person drama focusing on the mother of an African dictator and the English ophthalmologist from whom she seeks help for her failing eyesight. But each of these powerful women harbors a hidden agenda that threatens to trigger a bloody chain of events with life-and-death consequences, leaving them both to struggle with the moral dilemma of what separates the personal from the political. Nan McNamara and Leslie Thurston star in this Actors Co-Op production.

PLEASE PAY SIMULTANEOUSLY WITH YOUR RSVP.

Log in directly to Paypal.  Choose “personal” tab, not “business”.  Choose “send money”, enter my email, [masked], in the “To” box.  Enter the amount.  Then be sure to check the box that says “sending money to family or friends” so no fee is deducted.  Then click on “continue,” and on the next screen scroll down to the “message” box and enter the name or date of the event so I’ll know what you are paying for.

I will check into possibilities for dinner before the show, and also get more info on parking.

Intense. Both actresses were perfect in their parts. Deep, heartwrenching issues and dialogue, highly recommended.

I haven't been to this place, but it's close to the theater, looks like it has parking, since it's in a little strip mall, and reviews sound good (and I see an "A" on their rating card in the window). So check out the pics & reviews & menu and let me know who's in. I think we should meet there at 6:15 - the theater seats are reserved, it's 5 minutes away, small venue with free parking, so that will give us well over an hour.

Parking info: Parking is free but you must enter the lot from Carlos Street, NOT from Hollywood Blvd. (got that instruction from the theater as well as from Yelp, so be sure to enter from the correct entrance - weird, seems that the word would be out by now that if you want to park free, just use the other entrance, lol)

    Hi Ladies,

I had the pleasure of attending only 1 Meet-Up with you all. My loss. Conflicts, and the such. Hopefully, this year will be different. I am in this play: GOING TO ST. IVES (things like this keep me so busy). I am so happy that you are attending. Thank you, and I hope you like it! :)
