Set in 1917 Houston and based on true events, Camp Logan chronicles the experiences of the all-black 24th Infantry Regiment as they ready to fight in World War I. In the wake of constant conflict and confrontation with the area's white civilians and the Houston police, the company marches on the town in a historic act of revolt that became one of the most violent racial conflicts in U.S. military history. Written by award-winning playwright and Houston native Celeste Bedford Walker (The Red Blood of War), Camp Logan earned six 2013 NAACP Theatre Award nominations.
