Update: March MySQL User Group

From: Scott S.
Sent on: Monday, March 16, 2009 10:35 AM
Hi Everyone,

As mentioned in a previous email, since our schedule was shifted I planned to have an informal session, but good news, I was able to identify a speaker for this month.

Mike Minard, President of Delta Media Group, will share his company's experience with MySQL. Mike will discuss why he chose MySQL as their primary database, how they maximize performance, some best practices and general questions about their architecture.

Please join us to learn more about a 'real-world' deployment of MySQL and understand how you can benefit from open source software ... and perhaps learn how you can improve your deployment.

The meeting begins at 6:00PM (food/drink provided, sponsored by Dewpoint).

Robert Hutchinson (from the Farview Foundation) will also join us to discuss the 'non-profit' opportunity.

Hope to see you there!
