Basically, if you are familiar with digg.com, and you really love the challenges of running a high-volume, database-driven web sites with no e-commerce component, then we'd like to talk to you. We're looking for a DBA with at least journeyman level experience, hopefully with experience in scaling high volume web sites and building database infrastructures that can work between multiple, geographically disparate datacenters.

Digg.com based on Potrero Hill in the SFBG building and it's a pretty casual working environment. Pay and benefits are competitive. Currently, there are only 5 of us in the Ops team, so it's still possible to do actual work without intrusive bureaucracy. Please feel free to email me.
