The Silicon Valley MySQL Meetup Group Message Board › dirtyphonebook.com- Shocking New Startup THOUGHTS??
Mountain View, CA
Food for thought! It's fair to say the last ten years has been an
evolution for technology and the Internet, evolving our lives and the
way we communicate forever. A wealth of information so easily in our
reach I received an interesting tweet yesterday about an article
posted in the business insider about a shocking new start up.
Nothing surprised me anymore on the Internet but after checking it out
I was genuinely taken back and intrigued. Dirtyphonebook.com allows
users to comment and post anything about any ten-digit number phone
number- nothing seems to be off limits, Personal relationships,
businesses, reputations and personal past seem to be targeted for the
world to see. I wonder how far it will grow, curious to hear anyone
else' take on it:

This is shocking. This seems to be like a direct attack on personal life. I read some of the random numbers and believe me, not a single number had a pleasant comment. Seems like this service is more used to revenge someone or spoil somebody's character. It was fine as long as people used blogs and forums to comment about someone, but this one is on your personal mobile number. I wonder if people have been receiving a lot of phone calls from strangers, once they see "indicent" comments on dirtyphonebook.com.
