Introduction
Long time computer professional and enthusiast with a need to experiment and learn. Instead of pets, I have machines. The SuSE92 dual under the bed that is my DVD player, the P4 at the desk that still runs Win2k, etc. (I think I might revise this)

I have had the LionsMane nick for more than 25 years now. At this point, I don't remember the particulars of how I got it (cuz it was before I could grow a beard), but it was from a group of National Semiconductor hippy engineers in the 70s.
How did you get interested in: computers, databases, mysql? (pick one or all of the topics)
It seemed that is where the money was when I was first getting starting in the industry. I was living in Maine at the time, so A/P, A/R, POS accounting databases were in need.
