We are working with a technology company in the Lexington, MA area that is looking for a Linux Systems Administrator.

Job Summary:
In this role, you will monitor and maintain back-ups, script management, and patches. Candidates must have experience in a mixed Linux/windows environment. You will need to review, analyze, diagnose, and resolve trouble issues, perform scheduled work, and perform proactive maintenance. Monitor and report system performance and other network administrative tasks

Qualifications:
• 8+ years Linux Server administration experience
• 5+ years Linux experience (Red Hat, CentOS, SUSE)
• 3-5 years of Windows Server system administration
• Current advanced knowledge with Apache, MySQL, and Tomcat
• Software experience with other open source technologies including but not limited to sendmail, LDAP, Radius, bind, clustering
• Automation via scripting (Perl, Python, Shell)
• 5-8 years experience managing a mixed Windows/Linux 100+ node network
• Linux certification preferred
• Working knowledge of networking elements, including hubs, routers and switches, sub netting, VLANS
• VPN technologies; network troubleshooting, including IP addressing
• Knowledge of various Web applications and technologies (Apache, SSL)
• Knowledge of shell scripting, Perl and HTML
• Familiarity with Backup Exec or Legato a plus
• Must be available for 24X7 issue support
• Night/Weekend/Holiday work may be required at times
