Love Indian food and are willing to venture into new culinary territory? Need a refresher in Indian cooking ingredients and techniques? Then join this class to learn a delectable Indian Fish Curry made of an aromatic blend of curry leaves, mustard seeds and other herbs and spices. We’ll complement this with a cinnamon-flavored chickpea curry, a hearty, wholesome dish that can be a staple of your everyday menu.  We’ll complete the culinary experience with two spring vegetables, selecting the freshest eggplant, okra or spinach available. As always, Mystic Kitchen provides instruction, recipes, and a complete Indian feast shared with other friendly foodies. You can pay by check or paypal. Checks should be made payable to "Pritha Mehra" and mailed to 6626 Midhill Place, Falls Church, VA 22043. Payment must be received by April 1 to reserve your spot. Cost: $65

I really enjoyed the cooking. Indian food is not difficult! All I need is to get all spices...

We had a great time at the cooking class. We started off with Papri Chaat to whet the group's appetiite, prior to digging into our ample menu. John kicked off the "Chole" and stirred the chickpeas to perfection. Brett diligently caramalized the onions to produce an absolutely delectable smoked eggplant "Bharta". Kayo bravely volunteered to make the "Sag Paneer" perfectly blending the spinach, cheese and savory array of spices. Preet graciously volunteered to make the most unglamorous dish of all "Bhindi". What's not to like about Okra. Liz had us worried with her liberal use of spices in the Fish curry. We should not have questioned her free spirited approach as the outcome was divine. Was great to see Dave again for his second Mystic culinary adventure and to meet his wife Suzie, and our newcomer Weber. Enjoyed Parul's stories of dining in NY city. Look forward to the next class. Cheers - Pritha

Excellent. Lots of participation from all attendees. Hostess was well organized and food
choices were very good quality. Lots of friendly chatting and engaging conversation too.
The group varied in age and background.
