I am bringing/using the Dawood translation of the Calcutta edition of the stories from[masked] and the Bulaq edition of 1835.

I really want to hear this discussion, but tonight is looking iffy as we have someone in ICU.

Tonight is looking very iffy as we have a family member in desperate shape.

Hi Everyone...The YouTube video gives a visual, as well as, an aural summary of the Arabian Nights. It also shows modern day interpretation of Nights. Take a look...

Here are two sources for the Arabian Nights. The first, a British 1907 illustrated text; and second, a short, screen-readable text.

Welcome Vivian! We read, we talk. Didn't think of dressing up- of course you can don't know if anyone else will. You can post and ask the group

We are very loose. Come prepared with one story of 1001Nights you read the rest is open speculation.

Howdy! I am new to this group and to Meet-up. So do you just read the book and discuss it when you all meet?

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
