Creating Video and Pictures for WP Blogs and Websites Using Mobile Devices

Creating Video and Pictures for WP Blogs and Websites Using Mobile Devices

Mobile phone cameras now come with 8 megapixel cameras, some with zoom. Many have 720p and 1080p High Definition video capabilities as well. Mobile phones are replacing digital cameras and stand-alone video cameras for basic tasks like making a quick blog post, website update or social media network post.

Come out and explore how Android Mobile Phones, such as Samsung Galaxy S2, Apple iPhones, iPads and Tablets are making content production for blogs and websites easier and more fun. Do you have a favorite device you use like a Tablet, Mobile Phone you use to create content? Then demonstrate and share your experiences with our members at this meetup.

Excellent! I got all my questions answered, and it seems everyone else did, too. Not only do I feel confident about uploading video, I also laughed a lot. Bob showed me a funny app to check out. It's called Gangnam DanceBooth where you just insert someone's head on a Gangam body. It's hysterical. He used Dante's head, and I couldn't stop laughing.

Great job! You caught Dante in a serious moment which is what makes the app so funny.

I have already uploaded my first video blog to YOUTUBE and my website. However, I can’t upload my WELCOME video. I don’t want to upload it on YOUTUBE, and I need to convert it from .wmv (Windows Movie Maker file) to an .mp4 file, so WP will accept it. Anyone know of reputable, free software that I can download to do the conversion, or somewhere I can upload it and have it emailed to me? Also the graphic for my YOUTUBE video is cutting off my head. I don’t understand why the graphic for the video is there because it’s a shot later in the video. Looks bad. Can anyone give some advice how to fix this? I already tried all of the video sizes, and that’s not working.

    Thanks!

Not sure why you can't upload your welcome video to YouTube, but they have a nice conversion tool built in. You could always, upload and make private, to use the tool.

Also, for your second question. its always good to send a link to video, that way you share it, and we can see what you mean. Send me a link and I will take a look.

Thanks for responding. Sorry, I forgot to include the link. I used the EmbedPlus plug-in, and a friend said that might be the problem, so I deleted it, and just uploaded the video by clicking on Add Media. I think it looks fine now. However, I am wondering how I keep the counter in WP for my eyes only. Here's the link: https://apprenticebutt...

I also wanted to say thank you to the IT guy that advised us to uncheck a box in YOUTUBE, so we don't lose our audience to other videos. Everyone sharing their knowledge with others is one of the many reasons I love this MEETUP group. Thanks a lot!
