CONDITIONS TO ATTEND THIS SCREENING

The following are the conditions to RSVPing for a NAKID movie screening.

  1. NAKID Members Only. These screening passes are ONLY available to Fall 2012 or Winter 2013 members of NAKID Social Sports - that means that you've visited www.playnakid.com and registered for a team for our Fall 2012 or Winter 2013 season.  Each person is permitted to bring one guest and that guest may be in NAKID or not (your choice).
  2. Answer the Questions. When RSVPing, you MUST answer the three (3) questions, asking for your first & last name, your email address, and what team you're on.  If you're not seeing the three questions, please try RSVPing via a regular web browser - not a mobile web browser.
  3. Show Up For the Movie. If you RSVP yes, you must show up for the screening.  Repeatedly RSVPing Yes for screenings and not showing up may result in you being completely removed from our Meetup group.

If you do not meet these conditions, your RSVP will be removed and you may be completely removed from our Meetup group.  Please email [masked] if you have further questions/concerns.

Also, for some of our movie screenings, the promotional company or theater may not allow electronic devices (phones, cameras, video recorders) into the theater.  If that happens, they'll have a ticket-based system for holding onto your phone and retrieving it after the movie.

HOW TO GET YOUR TICKETS

As with all of our free movie screenings, entry is NOT guaranteed and they are often overbooked to ensure the theater fills to capacity, so please arrive early to the theater.

We will provide a code the day before the screening.  You will need access to a printer to print tickets for this movie screening.  You will need to visit the Gofobo.com website, enter in the code we provide, select the number of tickets that you selected on this Meetup page, and print your ticket(s).  The Gofobo code will be provided the day before the screening.

Bring the printed ticket(s) to the theater, arriving as early as you can, hop in line and someone will point you in the right direction to see the movie.  You may not select to print more tickets than what you RSVP'd for on Meetup.  Failure to adhere to this may result in you being banned from all future NAKID movie screenings.

TIMES TO KNOW

These are the times we recommend you plan on, to help ensure entry into the movie.

  • 6:00 PM - 6:30 PM - We strongly recommend getting to the theater between these times. Other groups also get passes, so the earlier you get to the theater, the more likely it is you will get in to see the movie. Please remember that entry is not guaranteed!
  • 7:00 PM - Movie start time.

Entry isn't guaranteed at these screenings.  We get enough comments about this that we mention it four times.

Dan, Pulling my ticket as you did was frustrating. It sucks that three of my friends will be there, and I won't. I hope you do better next time. The whole concept of Nakid is sound, but this action was totally below the belt.

You are looking at the wrong response. Check the wait list form. This isn't equitable. I understand that you offered too many free tickets, and have to cut back. This isn't the way to do it.

I answered your email when I sent my note to you. I'd appreciate your correcting this.

K, I don't think I'll need to go tonight, but all 26 of you are on the list at the door. Arrive early and show them your ID! Thanks!

Hey everyone, I've emailed the movie screening contact to see if they can open up more spots for people to use the code. If they say yes, than I'll let you know. I've also asked for a list of names of those who have used the code, and will be cross-checking it with our list here.

It really upsets me, just as I know it upsets you, when there are greedy people out there that abuse the code. It's not always clear who provided some random person the code, so banning abusers is a hard process to implement.

Ultimately, I think a solution may be that we have specific codes for specific people, and individually emailing each RSVP that code. It's time consuming on my part, but I will be exploring that option with our movie screening contacts for future, high-profile movies.

Also, I am considering going to the door tomorrow to cross-check our RSVP list with those who have printed NAKID tickets, but want to hear back from our movie screening contact first.

Just got an update. The passes are worthless - they won't work, so if you printed them out, you can just throw them away. I will be providing them a list of names (first and last) on the list at the door, and you'll need your ID to show them who you are. As with all screenings, entry isn't guaranteed, so please try to arrive early. If you aren't able to get in, give them your name (so you actually showed up) and they may have some Breaking Dawn swag to give you, they may also have guaranteed seating at a future screening for you, and we're also talking about getting you free tickets opening night.

More details to come. Thanks for being patient!

I sent a message to the organziers to see if anything can be done to fix this problem. It is unfair if people on the list took more passes than they RSVP'd for or gave the code to friends. Pehaps some people took 2 passes but did not RSVP to bring a guest. If that is the case, please let us know, and return the extra pass.

I'm having the same problem. What's the point of RSVPing exactly then?

    November 13, 2012

  • Meaghan H.

I just went to print my passes and it said all passes were used for this code. Anyone else have the same problem?

    November 13, 2012

    • Samantha L.

I claimed mine an hour after the code was emailed to us.

      November 13, 2012

    • Meaghan H.

I was teaching then. I emailed Dan, I am waiting for a response. I truly hope they do the right thing and go by this list with the tickets at the door. Throw out those who are not on this list, in fact as they mention above, remove them from this group by banning them. Not enforcing a rule make the rule pointless. It would be the right thing to do. Obviously many people have been burned already by this process. Free movie or not, this is a selling point to many to join the league. Soon it just may not be for many including myself.

      November 13, 2012

  • Meaghan H.

Maybe someone from Nakid should be present with this list (since we took the time to register for this movie) and be present to check people off as the tickets which say NAKID on them be handed in? Just a thought that people should be held accountable.

    November 13, 2012

  • Samantha L.

The problem stems from people sharing the code with their friends. Anyone could create a GoFoBo account, enter the code in the box, and claim one or two tickets.

    November 13, 2012

  • Meaghan H.

Actually it shouldn't be possible because everyone is registered for the amount they asked for on here. When i register for two tickets and put in my e-amil, thats what comes up, two tickets. Something must be wrong with the system. Regardless I am hoping for a response about this and maybe someone should be present to check Nakid tickets at the door.

    November 13, 2012

  • Samantha L.

I didn't have this problem. I only claimed a pair of tickets. BUT I have had this problem with other movie screenings. Too many selfish and greedy people in this world!

    November 13, 2012

  • vicki r.

    I agree.

    November 13, 2012

  • Meaghan H.

Seriously? Then these should be reissued. That's not fair if some dirtbags feel the need to take tickets away from people doing the right thing. Nakid, please reissue these tickets.

  • vicki r.

I had the same problem. People took more than their allotted number.
