Annapolis Foodies Message Board › Wine Tasting in Severna Park

Hello Annapolis Foodies --
The idea of local wine tastings has come up a few times, so I thought I would look into it a bit. There is a gourmet shop in Severna Park called Victoria's Fancy Foods which sells gourmet foods, local coffees, and wine. Victoria is also a Certified Wine Specialist and she hosts wine tastings in the shop. She has a monthly wine tasting for women, called Winespeak, but she is perfectly happy to arrange customized wine tastings for groups like ours. Some examples of categories could be: Wines Under $20, Wine by Region, Wine by Variety, Maryland Wines, Organic Wines...you get the idea -- the sky is the limit!
A group tasting starts at $15 per person and can be built to our needs. For example, 4 tastings/$15 pp, 6 tastings/$20 pp. The fee includes the wine tasting, some light snacks chosen to go with the wine, and a store coupon for same-night purchases.
Group minimum is 10 people, paid registration in advance. I'd be happy to coordinate this if enough people are interested. I could set it up for a Wednesday night, or a Friday or Saturday night.

Interested? Drop me a line and let me know what nights/types of wines interest you.
Pam and I would be interested. Wednesday nights are out as she works until 9:00 PM. A Friday or Saturday would be better. Schedule is pretty tight until December though.
I'd like to do the 6 for $20 and I'll suggest a regional wine selection or country. I've heard New Zealand and Australia have some good wines.
