The Summer Wildlife Refuge
Photo Shoot & Workshop

A 10-Hour Photography
and Educational Opportunity
w/Classroom-Style Training Included

Saturday, June 29th, 9am till 7pm

Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge, Chincoteague Island, VA
and Assateague Island National Seashore, Berlin, MD

A Relaxed, Fun-Filled Day of Education, Mentoring,
Instruction, and Incredible Photography

We meet at 9am sharp on Saturday, June 29th at the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge in Chintoteague, VA for a classroom-style educational workshop focusing on camera settings and techniques to successfully photograph stunning wildlife and landscape images. We will then photograph waterfowl and other inhabitants such as Blue Herons, Egrets, Wild Ponies, Mammals, Reptiles, etc. Then we will reconvene for a brown bag lunch with a reflective discussion on experience and new technical skills acquired, followed by a stroll and photo shoot along the wildlife loop with one-on-one mentoring.

Then we head to the Assateague Island National Seashore for a mini workshop and a photographic exercise on landscape composition, followed by more photography, including wild ponies, birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, the beach and the landscape. While Assateague’s wild horses are perhaps the island’s best-known inhabitants, other large mammals also roam the park, grazing and browsing on low-lying vegetation. These include the white-tailed deer and the non-native sika deer. We will wrap-up at 6:30 with final reflections and a Q & A until we conclude at 7pm.

This Event is Limited to ONLY 12Photographers

Event Fee: $229
Book Before May 31st and Pay Only $189
