Thanks everyone for your patience on the details of the event. After much consideration, we will be meeting in Centennial Park at the entrance to the Parthenon at 1:00pm. There WILL be PLENTY of materials. If you get lost or show up late and need to get materials from me, please call my cell phone. It will be ON this time, I promise! We will briefly meet to exchange materials and then disperse to leaflet the park. If you want to bring samples of your favorite vegan dish to hand out as well, that would be great. We are hoping to have a super turnout as long as the weather permits. Remember, this will be a great opportunity for those of you who are interested in leafleting as a form of activism but have not yet had a chance to get involved. See you all there!!! m ------------------------ On (or around) March 20 — the first day of spring — thousands of caring people in all 50 U.S. states and two dozen other countries get active to host educational Meatout events. Activities include colorful festivals, lectures, public dinners, feed-ins, cooking demos, food samplings, leafleting, information tables and more. The occasion is Meatout, the world's largest and oldest annual grassroots diet education campaign. Meatout 2010 is the 25th Anniversary! Every spring, thousands of caring Meatout supporters educate their communities and ask their friends, families, and neighbors to pledge to "kick the meat habit (at least for a day) and explore a wholesome, compassionate diet of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains."
