Yes, but it's been a while.
South Cumberland has lots of good spots.
Learn enough and accumulate enough of my own equipment that I can venture out on my own with a friend or two on a whim.
I'm looking into getting back into outdoor climbing!
This is absolutely the worst meetup experience I have ever had. I signed up for a meetup months in advance, and there was communication about it up to the day of the event. I arrived on time and no one was there. In fact, none of the organizers (or anyone who said they had ropes) showed up and only one other girl arrived at all. 10 had RSVP'd that they were coming. Neither of us had ropes, so we couldn't even climb. I texted the only person I knew in the meetup, who said that the organizer had canceled the event. Apparently she emailed a few of the people she knew but left everyone else hanging. Never canceled the meetup on the site, never messaged the group, never posted a comment. I checked when I got back home to make sure. Still 10 people on the RSVP list, and 9 of them just no call/no showed. This is extremely rude, selfish, and lazy. Mind you, this was an event 2 hours away, resulting in a complete waste of time and money (full tank of gas). Avoid this group!!
