Hi. Are there any folks in your group that also slackline? I'm looking to try it out in the Spring. Thanks!
Adam... where is everyone staying for this event? Is there a particular place? If not, is there one that you can recommend?
Adam,
We would like more clarity on how the day is going to be set up. Our concern is that if there is one on one instruction, and there are several beginners in the group, we may not get much out of the day. Two of the guys know how to clean and set up 5.7 and 5.8s. One climbs up to 5.10s on top rope. We are all belay certified. I hope you understand that we very much want to climb out there, but b/c it's a bit of a drive, we would like to learn some higher tech skills.
Thank you,
Aimee
Hi Adam,
The post on our Raleigh Rock Climbing website is for just climbing only out at Looking Glass? I thought it was a class. I've been climbing since late March and am now climbing 5.8, 5.9's outdoors but need technique instruction. Will you be teaching anything on this day?
Adam - Consider a trad leading basics course.
I am sure our group would jump at the chance for some good climbing out at Looking Glass. After volunteering for the exam you gave last Fall, I would instantly sign up ... but ... an idea: most of us regulars in the meet-up already top rope outdoors and bring newbies outside when we think they are ready and interested. What we have is a big lack of in our group of people who can trad lead, some can second. I'd love to learn leading!
Hey Adam, you guys rock down there around Ashville NC. Hope to get back down that way again this summer during my RRG , NRG road trip.
