Weekend trip to the fabulous Hike Inn in Amicalola Falls State Park in northern Georgia to celebrate the vernal equinox! Hike up to Springer Mountain, the southern start of the Appalachian Trail, for the official start of Spring at 1:32 PM on Saturday, March 20th! Or, relax and unwind at the Inn reading and playing games with your hiking buds.

"The Len Foote Hike Inn at Amicalola Falls State Park is one of the newest and most unique of Georgia's state park facilities. If you enjoy wilderness hiking but prefer a soft bed, hot showers, and great food instead of camping, the Hike Inn is for you."

$175 is per person for two nights and includes all meals and taxes.

We have ten rooms reserved; two people per room required. All rooms have bunk beds. We'll work out roommates at a later date.

You must take Friday, March 19 off work as you will not be able to arrive later than 2 PM eastern and still hike to the lodge. You actually leave your car and hike 5 miles to the lodge.

Refunds offered if:

* the Meetup is cancelled
* the Meetup is rescheduled
* you can cancel at least 14 day(s) before the Meetup

Additional notes: Any cancellation will be charged a $15.00 fee no matter when you cancel. Within 14 days of the event you will be charged the entire amount if no one on the wait list takes your place and pays in full.

Two people per room required:
Single travelers of the same gender will be roomed together if you don't pick your own roommate. All rooms have two beds.

Price Includes:
Accommodations for 2 nights; all meals starting Friday dinner through Sunday lunch.

Not Included:
Gas money for the carpool to the park.
