If there is a discrete way to send a message to another member, someone needs to educate me. In the meantime ... HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY, CLAY!!!!

Dave is all over this, right on! ;p

Cool! Thank you for the guidance; I will hold on to that info for the next time. I suspect, if Clay pays any attention to the thread here, he has already gotten the message. LOL

Exceptional! Everything was perfect, from our knowledgeable guide to the warm, friendly group.

Personally, I thought this hike was not too long, not too short, not too difficult, and not too easy; it was perfect. It was well-organized and skillfully guided. Conversations flowed like a stream after a Spring rain and new friendships were planted. To all involved in coordinating this function and each participant: Thank you for adding sprinkles to my ice cream.

Trish - you're making me blush!

    • Trish G.

Awe shucks! While the technicolor rainbow is a nice touch, the red is just a little strong. How about some fake-tan cream; that's typically good for a little orange!

First time attending this park to hike. It was nice and thanks to the guide for hosting. I am tired this morning though lol.

I am so so so bummed about this, my sitting fell through. One of these days...so I keep saying. Arggg!

    August 20, 2013

    • Dave S.

Just bring your little one. Looking at your picture, it appears she does just fine on your back :)

      August 20, 2013

  • Adam L.

Goodness the weather is going to be gorgeous for this.

    August 20, 2013

  • Michael H.

I-24 blocked, I'm going to hike some trails up here and if it isn't cleared up later, I'm going to be a no show.

    August 20, 2013

  • Michael H.

I'm going to knock out Percy Warner (not with the other group, need to do it sooner) before this hike. If I'm late, it's because I didn't estimate my walk time correctly or I'm just simply lost... lol

I don't understand based on the recent posts, is the meetup happening Tuesday the 20th or not?

It was my mistake. I saw the line about every 4th Friday and didn't realize there were other dates posted below. But I think I am adopting the "Mostly Full Moon" title for my hike on Friday! :-P

      August 14, 2013

      Glad I could help

With all of this sweeping going on, we ought to have a really clean trail once we're done . . .

It is so affirming to be a trend setter... even if it is just as a sweeper...

When you click the Meetups link on the main page and scroll until you find Full Moon Hike, this is what is says: This Meetup repeats on the 4th Friday of every month until December 31, 2013
Full Moon Hike - Edwin Warner Park - September 4 attending Thu Sep 19, 7:30 PM
Full Moon Hike - Edwin Warner Park - October 2 attending Fri Oct 11, 7:30 PM
Full Moon Hike - Edwin Warner Park - November 1 attending Sun Nov 17, 7:30 PM I went ahead and asked for the 4th Friday off the next 3 months. Woops!

Kathryn, Meetup is stupid that way. When I create these up at the beginning of the year, I just set up auto-repeating THEN go in and change the date of individual events. There is no way the full moon will appear on repeating Fridays monthly. ;-)

      August 13, 2013

    • Kathryn

Right, and I knew that about the full moon, but I was thinking we would just be going when it was CLOSE to being full on all those 4th Fridays!

      August 13, 2013

  • Kathryn

Since I asked off for Friday (because the details on the main page say "This Meetup repeats on the 4th Friday of every month until December 31, 2013") I am going to have to cancel this one, but I will be leading a followu up Beginner Moonlight Hike on Friday! http://www.meetup.com/nashville-hiking/events/134450182/

It worked out fine, Kelly. Since I have that Friday night off and was geared up for a moonlight hike... I'm leading one! :-) I even have a sweeper!

Found a hike the same night closer to where I live. Never hiked at Peeler Park going to do that hike. I will make sure to do this one at a later date.

And possibly not lose anyone, >.>

I could sweep to if anyone wants a break from it :-)

    August 12, 2013

Hello all, i would be willing to sweep if needed.

    Bringing my dog!

    August 11, 2013

  • Bill C.

First chance I've had to go on one of these evening hikes, looking forward to it!

    August 9, 2013

It's all about teamwork. Two sweepers are fine and worked well last time. I usually end up sweeping by default since I know the park well and usually bring a small dog that I have to carry part of the way. I am sure Michael is happy to have two people volunteer. I may have to work anyway since somewhere I thought I read the walks would be on the 4th Friday through December. I must have my hikes confused.

    August 9, 2013

  • Dave S.

I guess I won't offer to sweep this month. Don't want to step on anyone's toes....though that would be hard to do from the back.

    August 9, 2013

  • Kelly S.

No no! I want to sweep! Does Mom like Kathryn and David more then me?!

    1 · August 9, 2013

  • Michael D H.

Now, now you two . . . no quarreling over who gets to sweep! But seriously, thanks to you both for your help. I'll see you, soon.

    1 · August 9, 2013

  • Kathryn

I'll sweep again and will have my flashlight, as always.

    August 7, 2013

  • Dave S.

I will sweep again if you need me to Michael. This time I'll even bring a flashlight.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
