Hurricane Sandy Relief Box Packing at Second Harvest Food Bank

SPECIAL REQUEST - IMMEDIATE NEED FOR ASSISTANCE
City Harvest Food Bank in New York City has put in a request for Disaster Relief boxes from Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee to aid the victims of Hurricane Sandy.
Volunteers are needed to work in an assembly line packing boxes with basic non-perishable food items. We have to pack 3 truck loads (78 pallets ) that will be sent to the East Coast at the end of this week.
If you are able to help, the sorting will be done at Second Harvest Food Bank’s Martin Distribution Center in Nashville in our warehouse. Wear closed-toed shoes and clothes appropriate for a warehouse (jeans or comfortable clothing). We'll be bending, stooping and possibly lifting up to 35 pounds. (Not required. If you have trouble lifting just let the supervisor know.)
