Looking at the way the rain is moving I am not going. I thought it was moving east, but I see it is moving mostly North. Looks like it will be safe (no lightning), but looks like it will be wet.

Looks like showers but no thunderstorms or heavy rain so I'm going forward with the
    hike as scheduled.

Looking at the weather forecast there is a strong chance of thunderstorms.I live up in this area if we end up with thunderstorms especially lightning I will cancel the hike.I will make that decision at 6:30 tomorrow and post.

I may go at a slower pace, if there are others who want to also. I'm not going to set up a separate hike. So, I will be taking the sweep position. Anybody who wants to go a little slower can stick with me.

    July 1, 2013

    • Bob A.

Absolutely Bob, it is perfectly fine the way you posted it. I hope that offering to hang back for those who want to go slower is ok with you. If you prefer I could post this as a separate hike on THM. I was thinking about doing this hike and thought I should check to make sure that you did not already have a hike planned. I would have picked the same time.

Bob that's fine I appreciate it.As you know I usually do this on Saturday but like many others I'm not working on the 4th so I decided to make time for an early hike at Beaman.I will be posting Beaman this Saturday as well so feel free to hike and we can lead 2 groups.
