Radnor Lake - Moderate Hike 7/1

HIKE STATS:
Meeting Place: Trailhead at Granny White Pike/Nature Center entrance
Hike Distance: up to 4.5 miles depending on what group wants to do
Estimated Hike Time: max 2 hours
Difficulty: Moderate

We'll start at the Granny White Pike entrance parking lot, and depending on what the group feels like, we can do a mixture of the trails. Kids are certainly welcome, but pets are not allowed on the trails.

Note that on good weather days Radnor parking can get crowded. Please observe all traffic flow and parking rules posted.

Some instructions:

1. DO NOT enter Radnor Lake from the Franklin Road side. You must enter from Granny White Pike/Otter Creek Road because the road is blocked to vehicle traffic through the park. On maps Otter Creek Road looks like a through street for cars but it is not.

2. There is only one parking lot on the Granny White end so it won't be hard to find us. We'll be the crowd of people standing around.

3. There is not a sign for Radnor Lake on Granny White Pike. Look on the map for where Otter Creek Road intersects Granny White Pike and turn there.

Hi Kimberly, it was nice to meet you as well. I ended up doing much better than I thought so, since, you had company, I forged ahead. Thanks, Jay

My friend had intended to walk the ridge.
Glad you were able to do more.
I'll be going slow for a long time.

I was clearly confused. When you said he was going to walk with us, I assumed that meant the slowed down version. Jay

This was a lot of fun meeting several new people and seeing some familiar ones. I apologize to those whose names I don't remember. 3 new people at one time is all this feeble mind can handle. :)
