Christina, contact TMC. They will discuss the pros & cons with you. The cost is in converting your home. Not the actual heater itself. It also take approximately 10years to re-coop the money you spend. Also the federal rebate ended in 2011. I wanted one when i built my home but the builder refused to allow me to do so. When i looked at converting in 2012 I decided not to because I don't plan on staying in my home another 10 years. The cost differential for me was approximately $3000 for a 4 bedroom 3 bath home.

Janet, that is very helpful information. I ordered one and will let you know how it is working out. The converting should be free for me. I live alone so I don't need a big one and the prices have came down significantly in the last few years. You can get one for less that $1000 now days.

This has nothing to do with hiking, but need to ask a guestion. I found my water heater leaking this morning and need to replace it fast. I want to buy a tankless one and dont know too much about them - what size i need, what brand should i get. Does any of you have knowledge about them? I am gonna run to home depot and start my research there.

Hi! Is there anyone driving from central Nashville? I'd love to join the hike in Saturday, but since I don't have a car I don't know how to get to the meeting point. I live close to Vanderbilt campus.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
