Moth Madness: Presentation and Hike - Radnor Lake State Natural Area

HIKE STATS:
Meeting Time: 7:45 PM
Meeting Place: Radnor Lake State Natural Area Visitor Center
Hike Distance: 1 mile
Estimated Hike Time: 2 hours
Difficulty: Easy
Hike Leader: Ranger Leslie Ann Rawlings

Did you know that July 20th-28th is National Moth Week? Let's celebrate this unique insect with a one of a kind "Moth Madness" event!

Join Ranger Leslie Ann Rawlings as we use special bait and lights to lure underwing moths and other nighttime insects into view. We'll meet at the Visitor Center for a short presentation (beginning at 8 p.m.) and then a hike.

Important Note: This special program requires each person attending to make reservations through the Radnor Lake office. If you are RSVP'ing "Yes" for this event, you must also call the park office at [masked] and tell them the number of people in your party. Also, if you must cancel your RSVP on the Meetup site, please also call the Radnor Lake office and cancel your reservation with them.

No pets, please. This program is for ages 5 years old and up.

Directions to Radnor Lake Visitor Center:

DO NOT enter Radnor Lake from the Franklin Road side. You must enter from Granny White Pike/Otter Creek Road because the road is blocked to vehicle traffic through the park. On maps Otter Creek Road looks like a through street for cars but it is not.

There is not a sign for Radnor Lake on Granny White Pike. Look on the map for where Otter Creek Road intersects Granny White Pike and turn there.

For further directions or park information, call the park office at[masked]-3467.
