Debi, I am laughing again just looking at your recent photos. Susie your guy (forgive me for not remembering his name) was hilarious! You all were so much fun, I cannot tell you how much I needed a night like that. Belinda watching you wipe away tears from laughing so hard still makes me smile. Michelle I appreciate the chopsticks trick! Jonna you were an awesome 'buddy', I enjoyed our walk. Tim your balloon animal tricks were a great ending to the cruise! Fred I hope your giraffe made it home in one piece. Kelly thanks again for organizing this, I sure hope to see you all again really soon!

Sorry I missed this. By the time a spot opened up for this one, I was already committed to another cruise down the Cumberland River. I thought about you guys on your cruise while I was on mine! Sounds like it was a blast. Hope to catch the next one!

I really enjoyed meeting and getting to know all the people, great time with Captain Jim on the boat, excellent dinner (y'all shouldn't have bailed on dinner)

Wonderful, wonderful afternoon and evening. Just enough hiking for my out of shape body! One extra added bonus of the boat tour was that we all got to mingle and get to know each other. That never happens on a hike since we're always so spread out. Thanks everyone for sharing this event! (Sorry I couldn't make dinner. How was the Riverview Restaurant? Did anyone get the hush puppies?)

What a great event, please, please do it again or more than one pontoon boat, possible to increase the # possible to attend?? And you've picked the perfect weekend.

Looks like a long shot on the wait list from here. Hope everybody has a great time and I'm able to catch it the next time. Cheers!

Kelly- the waiting list/spots open thing is a tad confusing..but if there really is 1 spot open, please go ahead & take it off cuz I've got a friend who wants to join me. I've paid for my spot but I don't know how to do a +1 w/o it getting confusing. I DEFINITELY want the spot if its open! Thanks! Ps- I'm still coming even if the extra spot isn't available.

      Spots open, Susie.

I don't understand I was on the waiting list and you just informed me that spots opened up and I was accepted but when I went to confirm it stated there were 22 on the waiting list for Ashland City event. What gives?susie

    August 6, 2013

    • Kelly S.

The other option, "manual" wait list, means that I manage the wait list manually. having to go in and manually move the first person on the wait list to the YES list, wait for them to realize this, then pay for their spot. I've found this to be less reliable, because lots of people get on a wait list and then don't pay attention to my emails begging them to go in and pay for their spot. There are pros and cons to both methods, but I've found that rewarding the people who pay attention to their emails, change their RSVP to YES, *AND* pay should get rewarded.

The trail is 8 miles long, more or less. Are we doing 1/2? Park at one end, get driven to half-way, then walk back? It's be 15-16 miles round trip, otherwise.

    August 4, 2013

    • Kelly S.

We will do about a 90 minute hike total. Hike in for 45 minutes as far as we get, then turn around and retrace our steps.
