Tai Chi Qigong in the Trees! - Beaman Park 11/9

Join us on Saturday as we mellow out with slow movements and relaxing music on the deck at Beaman Park. We will be learning and practicing Tai Chi Qigong, a series of slow, intentional, gentle, flowing movements that date back 3,000 years ago. The goal is to relax, releasing tension and allowing our internal energy to flow and connect with the wonderful energy of the natural environment. The deck at Beaman is truly wonderful, sitting up in the trees. It is like practicing Tai Chi in a tree house! Please join us! ***

Meeting Time: 11:30 AM
Meeting Place: Beaman Park Nature Center Deck
Estimated Time: 1 hour
Difficulty: Easy
Cost: By the month paid at first class: $6.00 per class
By the class: $8.00 per class
Note: Due to the holidays, November and December will include two meetups per month. (Thus pay by the month will be $12 for two classes.) From January on Tai Chi Qigong will meet every Saturday.

Leader: Jani Kendy

Most of us spend our week in full forward movement and tai chi qigong allows us to focus slowing down our movements, which is what the body requires in order to renew and replenish from the intensity of our work week!

Wear loose clothing, flat shoes. The deck is covered so rain is not an issue.

***With fall in full swing and winter on its way, please know that we have an option to be inside the nature center where it is toasty warm if the weather is just too chilly and/or damp to be outside. i usually have a hat and gloves in case it is cooler. Sometimes, especially in the fall, it is brisk and truly beautiful!

thank you to all who attended! i am always in awe of the amazing energy that we create with this form of movement. as we moved, the trees moved - there was a point 2/3 of the way through that i could feel everyone relaxing - the energies of being one with the stillness and harmony of nature! you could not see me because i was in front, but i could not help but smile in gratitude - and the trees started swaying..... :)

hi lisa, looking forward to meeting you! just wear comfortable clothes. tai chi qigong is slow intentional movement. it looks like it will be in the lower 60's so, if it is not too chilly we will be outdoors on the deck, in the trees :) i usually have a hat and gloves with me. layers are good. fall is a wonderful time to be outdoors doing this... something about the light and crispness ... but fall is my favorite season! see you on saturday! blessings, jani

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
