Montgomery Bell State Park Old Railroad Hike with Randy Hedgepath - Sunday

Join State Naturalist Randy Hedgepath for a hike at Montgomery Bell State Park. He plans to walk trails and cross country exploring the area of the park containing the historic railroad. He will visit the grave of an original worker who helped build the line in the Civil War. This hike is part of the annual Railroad Weekend at the park where several other programs will be offered.

Meet Randy at the park Inn at 1 PM for this moderate walk of 4 miles which should take about 3 hours due to educational stops. The park office is at 1020 Jackson Hill Road, Burns and the Inn is at 1000 Hotel Avenue, Burns. The Inn Restaurant will have a great buffet you can take advantage of before the hike.

Children and leashed friendly dogs are allowed and the limit is 20 participants.

Max, if you still want to come you can take my spot. I was going to take Walt's spot. So that "opens" two spot for you and your guest. If you aren't let me know so I can cancel and someone else can take our spots.

As of 11:08AM, Walt is the next single person on the waiting list, which is why he needed to change his RSVP. You, Max, and Jana Foster all are with +1, making it harder for you to move up.

Thank you James. Adam is on the wait list, but way back. I thought a better chance I can get him on if I had him as my "guest" Worth trying. :-) He has to work so we won't be able to make it anyways.

Hey ya'll, help me understand this wait list process. I've been at the bottom of the wait list and 4 people were bumped up before me. Is it bc I have a guest also and only individuals are cancelling so that's what I'm not being advanced? I've messaged Randy with this question earlier today, but he might not get it till tomorrow. Can anyone else answer that question, please. Thank you.

If you're on the wait list with a +1, you need someone with a +1 to cancel to move up.

Thanks Dani, I was afraid of that. Thanks Tamorah, I had messaged Randy yesterday and asked him about coming anyways since there was no way I was going to advance unless a "couple" cancelled like Dani confirmed. I had planned to follow behind the group anyways since I was going to bring my dog. Well my boyfriend has to work so I've just decided to go with him instead. :-) Hope to meet up with you all one day...Have fun and be safe!

I will be driving a van big enough for 7 to 8 people if anyone is interested in carpooling. I live in the west Nashville area which is on the way to Burns.

Am unable to make it. Please give my spot to another.

Walt, you're near the bottom of the waiting list, but you should still change your RSVP to "No".

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
