Start Getting Ready For Spring Hike! Percy Warner Park

Meeting Time: We'll be hiking promptly at 11:15 a.m.
Meeting Place: Deep Well entrance

Hike Distance: 4+ total miles
Estimated Hike Time: 2+ hours
Difficulty: Moderate
Hike Leader: Lisa Presley
Notes: Dogs on a leash okay

Please join us for a hike on one of Nashville's best trails. We will be taking our time since most of us have not been on the trail much this HORRIBLE winter.  We'll be taking our time, but keep in mind, Mossy Ridge is a difficult trail. If you aren't quite ready, you might want to wait this one out. It's not for the faint-of-heart.

It'll be in the 50s on Sunday and SUNSHINE so it should be a nice day for a hike. DON'T FORGET YOUR WATER!

Be kind to the environment and your parks by carpooling to this event.

Directions to Deep Well entrance of Percy Warner Park:
From the point where Highway 100 begins at Highway 70 near the Belle Meade Post Office, head west on[masked] miles to the large stone gates on the left that mark the entrance of Percy Warner Park. Turn left from Highway 100 and pass through the gates, staying right when the road splits. Reach the Deep Well trailhead parking at 0.6 miles. The Warner Woods and Mossy Ridge Trails start behind the trailside kiosk. If coming from Old Hickory Blvd or further west, the Entrance will be on your right ~¾ miles past the Old Hickory Blvd Red Light between Edwin and Percy Warner Parks..

Rather muddy, but worth the trek!

As usual, I always love meeting newbies! It was a bit muddy and we all were a little crickety from the winter, but we persevered.

I hear parking is awful today. Coming from Donelson. May be a bit late!

I haven't really hiked with an organized group before; I've previously just done my own thing. This should be an interesting change.

I like the late morning start time and that we'll be taking our time. I pulled a hamstring last November. Then we had all the cold temps, so I haven't been hiking much.
