  • Join us on Saturday as we mellow out with slow movements and relaxing music on the deck at Beaman Park. We will be learning and practicing Tai Chi Qigong, a series of slow, intentional, gentle, flowing movements that date back 3,000 years. The goal is to relax, releasing tension and allowing our internal energy to flow and connect with the wonderful energy of the natural environment. The deck at Beaman is truly wonderful, sitting up in the trees. It is like practicing Tai Chi in a tree house! Please join us!

    Meeting Time: 11:30 a.m.
Meeting Place: Beaman Park Nature Center deck
    Estimated Time: 1 hour
    Difficulty: Easy
Cost: By the month paid at first class: $6.00 per class
Or by the class: $8.00 per class
    Leader: Jani Kendy

Most of us spend our week in full forward movement and tai chi qigong allows us to focus slowing down our movements, which is what the body requires in order to renew and replenish from the intensity of our work week! Wear loose clothing, flat shoes. The deck is covered so rain is not an issue.

If this is your first time to Beaman, it's better to map the Lewis Country Store at 5106 Old Hickory Blvd, Nashville, TN 37218 (corner of Old Hickory Blvd. and Ashland City Hwy - Hwy 12). From there, head north on Old Hickory (sort of behind the store), wave out the window to Sulphur Creek Farm on your right as you pass, and after traveling about 4 miles you'll see the entrance to the Nature Center on your left.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
