Thursday Nights in Warner Woods - moderate hike

HIKE STATS:
Meeting Time: We'll be hiking promptly at 6pm.
Meeting Place: Percy Warner Park main entrance at Belle Meade Blvd (map)
Hike Distance: 2.75 total miles with option to loop twice for 5.0 miles
Estimated Hike Time: 1-2 hours
Difficulty: Moderate
Hike Leaders: Mike Hicks
Notes: Dogs on a leash okay
Park on the road, not in the grass lot. Bring a flashlight or headlamp!!!

Meet by the stone gates on Belle Meade Blvd, and be sure to bring a light. We'll climb the stone stairs and hike the Warner Woods Trail.

Here's a trail map. This hike is planned to continue throughout the winter.

  Trucks often park on the road. Any where around the entrance loop is where we normally park. There is a small parking lot just around the corner to the right of the flag pole if you don't feel comfortable parallel parking along the road.

Never been on a night hike before and am just now getting into beginners hiking. If YOU were me, would you suggest I skip this one? lol Thanks :)

  This is a pretty easy hike night or day. 2 moderate hills. If you feel up to hiking ~3 miles, go ahead and give it a try. Most people really like night hiking once they have tried it!
