  • Lisa, thanks so much. You made it very feasible for those that have not done this for awhile. So much has chg with the gear. I hope a spot opens up. Jane :)

  • Hike 4-3-12 at 5:30pm @ Radnor...I REALLY NEED TO BE INCLUDED IN THIS EVENT. THERE ARE SOOO FEW THINGS THAT I CAN DO with the group since I am always having to bring my 28 month old son with me. Is there space for me? I RSVPed & the RSVP said 11 spots available. Then I found myself on the waiting list though... not sure what happened!

I may have to CARRY my 30 lb. child on my back, depending on how strenuous the hike will be for a SUPER HIGH ENERGY toddler. Please email me.

  • Hi Lisa, I went on a trip today at Warner Park where Donna (last name?) told me that you sometimes lead moderate, shorter hikes. I am getting back into hiking and am working up to longer hikes and long hill climbs, but right now I'm at 5-7 miles with several stops for breath up hills. Yes, I feel truly pathetic in front of the long-distance power hikers and backpackers that populate the hiking and outdoor adventure group, but a person has to start back in somewhere, right?

  • Thanks for your suggestions. I got a small blue Osprey Aura 50 and it worked great when I took it overnight in the Ozarks a couple of weeks ago. The mesh back is very comfortable and I like the way the various compartments are placed.

  • Hi Lisa,
I camped out at Big South Fork with you on Oct 7th. I need a new backpack for 1-3 night excursions. What do you suggest. I am 5'2".
