I've created a Google Map of hikes and other points of interest near(ish) Nashville. I will add to it as we discover more places.

Another great hiking place is near Frozen Head Park in Morgan county Lilly Bridge in the Obed Wild and and Scenic River National Park.

"Hikers can enjoy several trails, including the Point Trail (3.8 miles roundtrip), the Lilly Bluff Overlook Trail (200 yards), the Lilly Bridge Trail (0.8 miles roundtrip), the Lilly Boulder Trail (1 mile roundtrip), "

I have done half the Point Trail (sister wanted to turn back) it's lots of ups and downs along the bottom of a bluff. The short Overlook Trail is worth the trip in itself. It takes one to a fantastic deck which overlooks the river canyon. Breathtaking!
