First Aid Kit

The Nashville Hiking Meetup First Aid Kit

First of all, and most importantly, you should have an ID card in your pack with your name, emergency contact and any allergies on it.

Thanks to the Red Cross, here's the List:

  • Multiple sized Band-Aids
  • Antibiotic ointment packages (these come in boxes of small packages)
  • Antiseptic wipe packages
  • Small packets of aspirin or ibuprofen
  • Pepto-Bismol tablets
  • Pair of latex / non-latex gloves
  • Hydrocortisone ointment packages (for rashes, itching)
  • Gauze pads, 3x3 or 4x4
  • Mylar blanket (or a large plastic trash bag would work)
  • Whistle (cheap ones are excellent)
  • Tiny LED light
  • Tiny notebooks
