Speak the Language - Solving Problems using Domain Driven Design

  • September 10, 2013 · 6:00 PM

Speak the Language is the first talk in a series about finding software solutions to business problems using Domain Driven Design. This talk will focus on the first steps of building a domain driven application; learning the business in which you intend to model in your system and how to translate that into code. We will also discuss some of the technical approaches that help make a large project more manageable and scalable.

About Josh Long

This month we have a new speaker to our PHP stage: Josh Long. For the last 10 years Josh has been developing software solutions to business problems ranging from vehicle tracking to healthcare billing to integrating disparate systems. While most of his professional career has been spent in PHP, a recent jump to Python has him going for a "right tool for the job" approach and not having a goto language/framework that he tries to make the problem fit into.
