I'm a volunteer and sometimes rescuer. This handsome boy is Chance, a mostly-Treeing Walker Coonhound with a story like so many that reflects pretty poorly on humans. He was returned by adopters TWICE before finding a wonderul forever home up north.
Yes, primarily now for Silver Rescue, which helps bullys and cats.
Enjoy learning about the perspective of others and will do most anything to encourage the animal advocacy community to WORK TOGETHER. There are many ways to help animals and most are valid even if we don't agree or wouldn't do it that way ourselves. Sometimes our lack of unity and civility has been a greater obstacle to helping the animals than are ignorance, stupidity, indifference, bureacracy and failure to spay or neuter! Maybe this group can lead the way to changing that!
Hi, I'm Susan. I live in the Hermitage area with two dogs and two cats plus two feral cats who visit my porch for meals. I work in the Music Row area.
Hi Susan, I look forward to seeing you at our Town Hall Meeting to Reform Metro Animal Control this Saturday!
Hi Susan! Wonderful to have you aboard our group. Completely agree with your answer to the third question - which speaks to why I initiated this group. I hope this group can really gel and work effectively as a collaborative force in animal welfare around Nashville. I look forward to meeting you at one of our gatherings in the near future.
Just to clarify. Are all meetings at 7:30 A.M.?
Hi Susan! I haven't read the book, but I RSVP'd for the meeting Thursday morning. Looking forward to it!
Thanks for the welcome, Susan. I won't be able to make it tonight, but look forward to the next discussion. Tammy
I'm so sorry that I couldn't get there today. I had a meeting come up at the last minute. Have a great weekend.
Susan, I hate I couldn't make it today - I read/listened to the book and had some notes to discuss. I'm a CPA and this isn't my time of year. Hope to make it after April...
Thanks, Susan! I'm looking forward to meeting the group. Have a great weekend!
