Intro to DSLR Video

  • Apr 3, 2010 · 2:00 PM

Hey everyone! Someone from Canon is having an HDDSLR workshop at Dury's downtown and thought y'all may like it. (from the site) The advent of HD video in today’s digital SLRs has opened up a new avenue of creativity for many shooters. Footage from these fantastic new tools used in Hollywood productions and on TV has already been witnessed, but HD video doesn’t just have to be for Hollywood movie moguls. With the introduction of HD video in the Canon EOS Rebel T2i, EOS 7D and the 5D MkII HD video is within every shooter’s reach. Join Canon’s Drew MacCallum as he explores the basic use of HD video in common shooting situations, allowing you to double your creative production in addition to the still photos you already shoot. Basic video terms will be explained and Drew will discuss shooting techniques, lens selection, and accessories to help improve your use of the HD video capabilities of your Canon EOS DSLR. In addition, Drew will cover some basic video editing as well. Sign up here

The speaker spoke well at the the seminar, and had quite a bit of knowledge about the cameras. The benefit of this seminar was the Q&A afterward, to get the specific questions/needs answered.

It was actually better than I expected. Would have been fun to follow up with a beer at Blackstone ;-)
