August Alliance Nashville Filmmakers Meetup at NECAT

In July, we launched 6 new film/tv projects! And we are looking for you to help them become a reality. See the full roster here:

For the rest of the year, we will be meeting in the NECAT television studio where the magic happens!

Many have already signed up to certify to become Television Producers. We are so excited to share how you can be trained and certified to use this studio for your very own television series.

The teams that are forming in this group have unlimited potential to grow together. We are already hearing success stories like Comic Con film debuts, distribution, and lifelong dreams fulfilled.

Don't come with anything less than your passion, inspiration, and dreams. Find your people and start making something amazing on screen. It all starts with building a strong community of motivated, talented folks who you trust and who trust you.

NECAT is on the Nashville State Community College campus at 120 White Bridge Road. Note that sometimes GPS strangely will take you to Stein Mart about half a mile away, so use these directions to find the studio the first time.

1. Take the campus entrance that has a red light (there are 2 entrances - one with a red light and one without).

2. Come all the way around to the back of the campus where you will see a big parking lot to your left.

3. Turn left into this parking lot and drive up close to the buildings.

4. Since it is Sunday and buildings are closed, please park near the small semi-circular drive between the Student Services Center and the other building. There will probably already be a few cars at this area, where the rest of the lot will likely be empty on a Sunday.

5. Walking, take the sidewalk into campus at this small semi-circle drive. This puts you in the "quad" at the middle of campus with a big open green space to your right. Watch out for all the construction.

6. Straight ahead, past all the construction near the end of the quad, you will see a building labeled PEG STUDIOS. There's a satellite dish on the roof and a groovy NECAT logo on the door.

7. Just ring the doorbell and tell us the secret code word. We will verify you are a Nashville Filmmakers member and jedi master. Just kidding. But don't forget to ring the door bell and sign in.

If you have any trouble, please call the Studio Line at[masked] or message a member who is attending on this page.

I am working on a Music video on location and am looking for collaborators, partners in crime, film geeks to keep this project and the team moving in the right direction. I can be reached at [masked] if interested.

Hi, I haven't had time to attend much (if at all) but I'm curious to learn more about your projects and perhaps I can contribute with something.. AON I'm busy fighting my "Sister" over Mothers estate :) as well as collecting materials for my own Music / Multimedia production(s)..

Carl, no worries. Family first then come on out and get plugged into a project! There are plenty of folks needing your skills.

Garrett, I know there are those of us that cannot make our meetups for various reasons but don't let that stop you from getting involved. Reach out to the film team leaders and ask if they can plug you into their cast or crew. We're looking into doing a meetup for those who cannot make Sundays, as I know several have asked about a more casual version.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
