Hands on with the Clojure Koans

We'll be getting up to speed with Clojure by taking on the Clojure Koans. The koans are a series of problems that introduce the language as you solve them. Bring your laptop and grab a copy of the koans if you get a chance.

From clojure.org

"Clojure is a dynamic programming language that targets the Java Virtual Machine (and the CLR, and JavaScript). It is designed to be a general-purpose language, combining the approachability and interactive development of a scripting language with an efficient and robust infrastructure for multithreaded programming."

Chris Mihalcik is a developer at Cassidian Communications. He does most of his work in Groovy and is changing the way he thinks about programming by learning Clojure.

Had a blast! Was fun to change it up and do a lab. Thanks to James for taking the time to help me get Leiningen set up on Ubuntu!

Cool way to learn Clojure, and great conversations tonight! I learned I hate parens, and the language annoys me. ;)

The meetup was awesome. The koans were pretty informative and it was nice meeting other developers in the area. The syntax I guess just takes some getting used to lol
