Middle Tennessee just came off one of its hottest summers ever. While one hot day does not confirm or deny climate change, at our September Science Cafe, we'll explore the science of climate change and what, if anything, can be done to change current trends. What is the difference between "weather" and "climate"? How do current trends differ from warming or cooling periods in the past? Come join us for what will surely be a lively discussion on a very "hot" topic!
Our guest will be Dr. Ebner, a Ph.D. in Neuroscience who took his first job at Brown University around 1970 and then moved to Vanderbilt in 1991 to be part of the John F Kennedy Center for the study of developmental disabilities and the Psychology Dept at Vanderbilt. He was trained by The Climate Project on the need to reduce greenhouse gasses and conserve energy.
