I am hoping to hang out with people who know the difference between sipping and chugging and why that's actually important to real wine lovers!
I'm a kinda afficionada. I thank my love of the vine to tasting expeditions in Italy and California’s Napa and Sonoma Valleys, not to mention proselytizing by local wine gurus. I have a well-organized cellar (but I'd like some new tips!). :-D
Italian Valpolicella Superiore and many wines from Piedmont, Tuscany and Sienna regions - or small producers that have never sold outside of Italy. :-D California Zins always surprise me and Spanish tempranillo gives me pleasurable shivers. I'll try the under-appreciated Syrah from just about anywhere, but I haven't really found an Australian shiraz I want to drink again ... got one?
I need some thoughts on that from others. My best experiences have been word-of-mouth research and buying online!
There's nothing like a nice cup of hot tea followed by wine after a hearty hike off a good trail. I travel a LOT and love to share wine experiences. I love laughing with friends so hard that wine comes out of my nose . . . after I sip slowly.
