June. Whoa. The year is halfway done. It occurred to me that there is only 4 months until October and to the writing contest extravaganza. This year's theme came to me, as most of my ideas do, in the shower. (My muse is something of a voyeur. ) Without further suspense, I shall reveal the theme for 2009:

THE GREAT ZOMBIELONGADINGDONG EXTRAVAGANZA!

The rules are simple: Write a short story, set in Nashville, using a zombie-based theme. 1500 words or less. Double-spaced. Everyone who wants to be in the The Great Zombielongadingdong Extravaganza, you will bring in your story on OCTOBER 15, 2009 with a title page but NO AUTHOR NAME. We will read them aloud and then take a drawing for the top 3. The Big Winner of the night will go home with a terribly tacky prize and the honor of being the winner of


THE GREAT ZOMBIELONGADINGDONG EXTRAVAGANZA! 2009


As for our June Meeting, you all know the routine. Anyone who isn't on vacation, please come! I am working on my grande opus and plan on bringing it to share.

    I have it on good authority that my son, the infamous Boy, will be attending. Don't worry about censoring yourself, folks. He was weaned on Ren and Stimpy.
