Welcome again to the Mystery/Suspense/Crime/Etc meetup! We've had an amazing turnout so far this year, and I'm so happy that this group has been so wonderful and supportive!

With that said, come one and come all! We've had a great mix of regulars and new writers, so I'm always happy to reunite with old faces and meet all you new people!

Dust off your crime, suspense, cop stories, whatever you've got that will fit in the genre! If anyone would like to bring something to share, you're more than welcome to. 12 copies should be enough. Because of time constraints, please limit it to 6 double-spaced pages.

If you don't have anything, that's perfectly fine as well! We need editors just as much as we need material to edit! Plus, we'll have discussion questions or an activity and great conversation all night long!

Fun and profiitable. Nobody wanted to leave.

Who attended?

  • 10 attendees
    •  It was fun meeting the people who attended and there was a good mix of "old-timers" and "newbies." Because several of us were first-timers, we had a lot of questions which were patiently answered. The facilitator did a good job of explaining the ground rules and of keeping the meeting on task. I enjoyed hearing members read their contributions, but more intriguing to me was the feedback and how tactfully and respectfully it was presented. As The Florala News would say..."a good time was had by all."
    •  I enjoyed the meeting. Everyone was very friendly, and I felt comfortable sharing my work and accepting the criticism that I asked for.
    •  What it was, was a mystery. See, you had "Mandi" who was "Fly" at one end of the table, and then there was "Mandy" who was "Mandy" at the other. In between there was "Kay" and "Stephanie," only "Eugene," who was from the Ukarine but didn't know about the river Drina on account of it was in Kosovo came between them. Twice. For awhile. I sat next to "Cathy" who was not my daughter "Kathy," and "David" who was just browsing. "Mandy" said my eyes were the same color as my shirt. She thinks I planned it that way. I like "Mandy." She's nice. Well, so are the others, too, but they didn't admire my eyes. They laughed at my story, though, in all the right places. I used lots of commas and apostrophes. I deleted all the expletives. So, anyway, when it was all done, there wasn't any more mystery 'cause everybody left. Of course, there wasn't any more meeting, either, so I left, too. The end.
